How to play Dalgona Master?

The aim is to carve out the shapes and pictures printed onto the Dalgona candy. Use the needle to carefully break away pieces around the edges of the cookie. 

This is very delicate work. If you crack the stars, hearts, umbrellas and other pictures pressed into the crunchy candy, you’ll lose the game.

The designs on the Dalgona cookies will become more complex and fragile, putting your precision and steady hand to the test.

What is Dalgona?

Dalgona is a type of candy that was popularized as a street snack in South Korea in the 1960s. It’s made of melted sugar, with a pinch of baking soda thrown in to make the hot and sticky mixture puff up.

The mixture is shaped into a flat circle, a bit like a cookie. One side is stamped with a cookie cutter to create an imprint of a simple shape, like a star or heart. Traditionally, if you manage to trim off the edges without breaking the picture, the seller will give you another Dalgona for free.
